Reynaldo Hahn at the Palazzetto Bru Zane

For more than 10 years the Palazzetto Bru Zane has been committed to the rediscovery of unknown music of the French romantic period. A prime example of this is the focus on Reynaldo Hahn, whose work has long remained in the shadows of music history.

He was already in the spotlight of the 2019 Autumn Festival at the Palazzetto and remains in the focus with the complete recording of his songs featuring baritone Tassis Christoyannis and pianist Jeff Cohen. At the end of January, Hahn's opera, “L'île du rêve”, will be performed in a concertante version at Munich's Prinzregententheater with the Munich Radio Orchestra and the Chœur du concert spirituel. His musical, “La Carmélite”, can be enjoyed in Toulouse in March. A colloquium in Trouville-sur-Mer, France, and the release of the musical, “Ô mon bel inconnu”, recorded in the autumn of 2019 as part of the “Opéra français” publication series, round off the Reynaldo Hahn cycle.
