Palazzetto Bru Zane

Who is the Palazzetto Bru Zane Foundation?

For more than ten years, the Venice-based Palazzetto Bru Zane and the foundation of the same name have been dedicated to musical rediscoveries of French music of the long 19th century (1780-1920). Based in Venice, the foundation significantly expands the Romantic repertoire and creates new perspectives on the works and their time. In Germany, French music of the 19th century - with few exceptions - eked out nicheness. The Palazzetto Bru Zane has changed this significantly, especially in the area of light muse and bouffes.

What distinguishes our commitment to the Palazzetto Bru Zane?

Our mission is to make known the French music of the long 19th century, which is rarely performed in Germany. Since 2012, we have been managing this unique project with their festivals, concerts and publications in German-speaking countries with great and lasting success. The PR and press work is based on festivals in Venice and Paris, the high-quality edited CD book series as well as selected concerts and guest performances. The Palazzetto Bru Zane is regularly awarded important prizes such as the Annual Prize of the German Record Critics, the Echo Klassik, Opera Award, Grammophon Award, etc. We also advise the Palazzetto Bru Zane Foundation on the strategic development of modern press relations.

Press relations in German-speaking countries

The goal of the press work for Palazzetto Bru Zane is to increase awareness in German-speaking countries. Our work is based on two pillars: Media-wide coverage of the publications in trade and daily press, online media as well as radio and television. The focus here is on press work for the CD books, for which there is a great deal of interest in circles of experts that needs to be channeled now. We also communicate the annual focus topics of the Palazzetto Bru Zane and the annual programs to a large distribution list of interested and newly interested journalists.

The second pillar is the organization of press trips to the festivals in Venice and Paris, but also to cooperative productions at mostly French opera houses or festivals elsewhere. In the course of these press trips, we organize not only the itinerary and tickets, but also interview requests. This way, journalists get as much material and positive impressions as possible for their reporting.

Awards and prize-giving ceremonies

Palazzetto Bru Zane productions regularly receive prizes from important German-language media and institutions - this is also a sign of the prominence they have achieved over the years and through intensive press work. We help the Palazzetto Bru Zane team to prepare the documents for nominations and to submit the relevant data. In addition, we repeatedly take over the representation of Palazzetto Bru Zane at award ceremonies. The most important awards in recent years were the Oper! Award 2019 as "Best Promoter", the Annual Award of the German Record Critics' Prize 2020 for "Maître Péronilla" and the Opus Klassik 2020 for the CD book "Faust" by Charles Gounod in the initial version of 1859.

Current prominence of the Palazzetto Bru Zane in the German-speaking area

All publications of the Palazzetto Bru Zane, with a special focus on the CD books, are regularly reviewed throughout the German-speaking world due to our commitment. Numerous reviewers repeatedly emphasize the great importance of the foundation's work for the significance of unknown French Romantic music and call for corresponding initiatives in Germany.
