The Queen Sonja International Music Competition is one of the world's leading singing competitions. Since 1988, it has been held every two years in Oslo and has been directed at classical music singers from all over the world since 1995. The aim is to support young, talented singers in launching their careers, but also to build bridges between the Norwegian and international music scenes. Institutional partners are the Norwegian Opera & Ballet in Oslo, the Norwegian Academy of Music, the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation, the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra and the Norwegian Royal House. The competition has produced such well-known artistic personalities as Lise Davidsen, Elsa Dreisig, Daniel Behle and Mari Eriksmoen.
Since 2017, Ophelias Culture PR has been supporting the Queen Sonja International Music Competition with international press relations in order to present the competition worldwide and better. The means for this are general PR consulting, classical press work and the organization of press trips.

At the Queen Sonja International Music Competition (Norwegian: "Dronning Sonja Internasjonale Musikkonkurranse"), a jury of internationally renowned opera directors, singers, opera and casting directors from the world's leading opera houses evaluate the competition participants. The competition ends with the final concert and the award ceremony by Queen Sonja of Norway.
This year's QSIMC is scheduled for late summer/fall 2021.
