Daniel Behle

Opera | Lied | Composer

The versatile tenor Daniel Behle is equally successful in concert, lied and opera. The repertoire of the "Singer of the Year" (Opus Klassik 2020) ranges from Baroque masterpieces to Classical and Romantic repertoire to compositions of the 20th and 21st centuries, and Daniel Behle is also making a name for himself as a composer: the award-winning Strauss album "Un-Erhört" with pianist Oliver Schnyder already included an original composition, and his first full-length operetta "Hopfen und Malz" on a libretto by Alain Claude Sulzer is eagerly awaited.

As a long-time partner, Ophelias Culture PR is engaged for press and PR work for various album productions and accompanies his most important career steps.

The album "Heimat" with the ensemble German Hornsound is also eagerly awaited on the Prospero Classical label in autumn 2022, following the spring release of the production "Gegenliebe" on the Pan Classics label, in which Daniel Behle devotes himself to Ludwig van Beethoven's song oeuvre together with Jan Schultsz (on the historic grand piano from 1824).

Upcoming engagements show the range of Daniel Behle as an artist: In the coming season he can be heard as Belmonte in Mozart's "Die Entführung aus dem Serail" at Zurich Opera as well as Loge in Wagner's "Rheingold" under Christian Thielemann at Dresden's Semperoper. Daniel Behle sings the tenor part in Mendelssohn's "Elijah" with the Berlin Philharmonic under Kirill Petrenko and his beer operetta "Hopfen und Malz" is premiered at the Eduard von Winterstein Theatre in Annaberg-Buchholz.

Arrangements by composer Daniel Behle for tenor and piano trio are attracting great attention: "WinterreiseN" (Sony Classical) has already been performed at the Wigmore Hall, the Concertgebouw Amsterdam and the Alte Oper Frankfurt. Equally successful are "Mein Hamburg" (Berlin Classics) as a musical memorial to his home city and "Meine schönsten Weihnachtslieder" (Sony Classical).
