Junge Deutsche Philharmonie
Young, democratically organised and the career springboard for the orchestra pros of tomorrow: The Junge Deutsche Philharmonie unites excellent young musicians from German-language music academies and forms them into a musically demanding ensemble. In 2014 the orchestra celebrated its 40th anniversary and a success story that is unparalleled. Today, former members of the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie play in the leading orchestras and hold chairs at music academies.
The orchestra members gather several times a year for concentrated rehearsal periods, followed by international concert tours and guest appearances. Since 2014 Jonathan Nott is their first conductor and artistic consultant.
