Concerto Copenhagen on tour in Northern Europe

“The Four Seasons After Vivaldi” is the title of Concerto Copenhagen's album released in September by the Danish label Dacapo. In a new composition and interpretation by the contemporary Danish composer Karl Aage Rasmussen, the ensemble approaches the world-renowned Concerti Grossi by Vivaldi. Following concerts in Brussels and The Hague, the ensemble will continue to tour with this program until the beginning of November, all the while showcasing its brand essence: shortly before its 30th anniversary, the orchestra continues to captivate audiences around the globe with its uniquely vibrant exploration, examination and transcendence of baroque music borders.

Christmas concerts featuring baroque repertoire will be on the December agenda of Scandinavia's leading baroque orchestra. Concerts in Denmark and Amsterdam - featuring Dorothee Mields here as soloist - will offer introspective moments with works by Torelli, Vivaldi, Corelli, Scarlatti and Handel, among others. Handel's “Brockes Passion” with Concerto Copenhagen was also released by cpo in September. Concerto Copenhagen will perform this work live once again in the 2020 Passion season.
