New CD Release on 28/01/2018: Tatarstan National Symphony Orchestra / Alexander Sladkovsky: Shostakovich Symphonies

The latest CD Box by the Tatarstan National Symphony Orchestra under its chief conductor, Alexander Sladkovsky, showcases all 15 symphonies by Dmitri Shostakovich. This ties into their previous year's successful recording of the complete concertos by Shostakovich which was likewise released under the Russian label, Melodiya.

Houston Symphony on Tour in Europe, March 9–March 19, 2018

The Queen Sonja International Music Competition 2017 – The winners are announced

After ten days and three intense rounds, we finally have a winner of this year's Queen Sonja International Music Competition. Tenor Seung Ju Bahg, a young talent from South Korea, won the First Prize in the grand final at the Norwegian Opera & Ballet on Friday 18 August.
