Ohe­fest is the music fes­ti­val foun­ded by young bari­to­ne Jonas Mül­ler – named after a small tri­bu­t­a­ry of the Danu­be in Lower Bava­ria. Its goal: to bring clas­si­cal music to a wide and diver­se audi­ence in fresh and enga­ging ways.

The second edi­ti­on takes place from 27 to 29 June 2025 in Nie­der­al­t­eich under the the­me In Ter­ra Pax. At its heart is Gus­tav Mahler’s Des Kna­ben Wun­der­horn, pre­sen­ted in a spe­ci­al­ly arran­ged ver­si­on for cham­ber ensem­ble and per­for­med by Anna-Lena Elbert and Jonas Mül­ler. Other high­lights include the ope­ning con­cert with works by Men­dels­sohn, Schu­mann, and Beet­ho­ven, as well as a tan­go pro­gram­me with Trio Feda­mi. A children’s music theat­re pro­duc­tion rounds off the weekend with cross-gene­ra­tio­nal appeal.

With inno­va­ti­ve pro­gramming, young artists, and an open approach to clas­si­cal music, Ohe­fest aims to bring new momen­tum to the fes­ti­val sce­ne.
