lis­tening clo­se­ly is a cham­ber music fes­ti­val that puts the art of lis­tening at its core. Foun­ded by inter­na­tio­nal­ly renow­ned com­po­ser Tho­mas Lar­cher, the fes­ti­val bridges musi­cal tra­di­ti­on and con­tem­po­ra­ry inno­va­ti­on, crea­ting a space for dis­co­very.

The third edi­ti­on takes place from 21 to 29 May 2025 in Wat­tens and Inns­bruck. Mas­ter­pie­ces by Beet­ho­ven and Debus­sy are pre­sen­ted along­side world pre­mie­res by Nava Hemya­ri and Wolf­ram Schu­rig. Rare instru­ments such as the sal­te­rio and nyckel­har­pa offer uni­que sound expe­ri­en­ces. Inter­na­tio­nal stars like Ste­ven Osbor­ne, Gio­van­ni Anto­ni­ni, and Mar­gret Köll join forces with local talents such as saxo­pho­nist Andre­as Mader. New venues and public mas­ter­clas­ses expand the fes­ti­val pro­gram.
