Clas­si­cal music in a uni­que atmo­sphe­re, with top-class musi­ci­ans, on one of the most magni­fi­cent squa­res in Euro­pe — that is the suc­cess sto­ry of Klas­sik am Ode­ons­platz. Sin­ce it was foun­ded in 2000, the open-air event has attrac­ted around 16,000 music fans and pro­mi­nent guests from all over the world every year and has estab­lished its­elf as a firm high­light of Munich’s cul­tu­ral life.

On a weekend in July, the Bava­ri­an Radio Sym­pho­ny Orches­tra and the Munich Phil­har­mo­nic Orches­tra join forces with inter­na­tio­nal­ly renow­ned clas­si­cal artists to pre­sent an extra­or­di­na­ry con­cert expe­ri­ence in the impres­si­ve set­ting of Munich’s Feld­herrn­hal­le.

The event regu­lar­ly sets new covera­ge records for (live) broad­casts and is now a prime­time TV event. The stars who per­form at Klas­sik am Ode­ons­platz include Lang Lang, Sol Gabet­ta, Juan Die­go Fló­rez, Mar­tin Gru­bin­ger, Dia­na Damrau, Dani­el Trif­o­nov, Chris­ti­an Thie­le­mann, Yan­nick Nézet-Ségu­in and Andris Nel­sons.
