Concerto Copenhagen

For over thirty years, Concerto Copenhagen (CoCo) has been on a musical journey of discovery. Rooted in the Early Music scene, the Copenhagen-based orchestra continuously expands its repertoire. Described as an “ensemble for tidløs musik” it is not only a master of Baroque music but is also at home in the Vienna Classical, Romantic, and contemporary music repertoires.

Under the direction of Lars Ulrik Mortensen, “CoCo” has evolved into a musical ambassador for Denmark. It combines a methodical approach to historical repertoire with artistic originality and continually evolves both stylistically and interpretively. The orchestra regularly releases albums and delights audiences with innovative soundtrack and video productions digitally. Additionally, Concerto Copenhagen collaborates annually with an opera production at the Royal Danish Opera in Copenhagen.

For May 2025, a new production of Vivaldi’s opera Griselda is planned as a Danish premiere at the Old Royal Opera House in Copenhagen. Together with the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir, the ensemble will celebrate the 90th birthday of Arvo Pärt this year. In addition to an album on Berlin Classics, the two ensembles will embark on a Central European tour.

Ophelias Culture PR supports Concerto Copenhagen in the German-speaking and international regions with PR and press work. The focus is on album re-releases, opera productions in Copenhagen, and orchestra tours, which receive greater recognition outside Denmark through classic press work and the organization of press trips. In recent years, consulting on branding and strategic decisions for the ensemble has also increased.
