Pierre Dumoussaud
Pierre Dumoussaud is one of the leading French conductors of his generation. His repertoire ranges from French romanticism and the grand 19th-century opera repertoire to 20th-century works. From the 2026/27 season, he is Music Director of the Opéra Orchestre Normandie Rouen. His engagements also include productions at the Bavarian State Opera, the Staatsoper Unter den Linden and the Zurich Opera House.
French music forms a special focus. In 2026, the album will be released on Alpha Classics in collaboration with the Orchestre National Bordeaux Aquitaine PHANTOMS – French Symphonic Poems featuring works from the 19th and early 20th centuries, including world premiere recordings by Augusta Holmès and Marie Jaëll.
In autumn 2026, Ophelias Culture PR is supporting Pierre Dumoussaud with press relations in the German-speaking region. At the centre are the release of PHANTOMS, his positioning as a conductor of French repertoire and his current opera engagements, including Massenet’s Thaïs at the Opéra Royal de Wallonie in Liège.
