Listening closely

listening closely is a chamber music festival that puts the art of listening at its centre. Founded by the internationally renowned composer Thomas Larcher, it connects musical tradition with contemporary innovation and creates space for discoveries.

From 21 to 29 May 2025, the third edition invites you to Wattens and Innsbruck. Masterpieces by Beethoven and Debussy are showcased alongside world premieres by Nava Hemyari and Wolfram Schurig. Rare instruments such as the Salterio and Nyckelharpa provide unique sonic experiences. International stars like Steven Osborne, Giovanni Antonini, and Margret Köll will meet local talents such as saxophonist Andreas Mader. New venues and public masterclasses expand the festival programme.

Ophelia’s Culture PR contributes to a better international perception of “listening closely” through supra-regional press work.
