Concerto Copenhagen

For over thirty years, Concerto Copenhagen (CoCo) has embarked on a musical journey of discovery. Rooted in the early music scene, the Copenhagen-based orchestra continuously expands its repertoire. Described as an „Ensemble for timeless music,“ it has long been not only a master of Baroque music but is equally at home in Viennese Classicism, Romanticism, and contemporary music.

Under the direction of Lars Ulrik Mortensen, „CoCo“ has developed into a musical ambassador for Denmark. It combines a methodical approach to historical repertoire with artistic originality, and is constantly evolving both stylistically and interpretatively. The orchestra regularly releases albums and impresses with innovative soundtrack and video productions on digital platforms. Furthermore, Concerto Copenhagen collaborates annually with an opera production by the Royal Danish Opera in Copenhagen.

In 2025, the ensemble will celebrate Arvo Pärt’s 90th birthday together with the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir. In addition to an album on Berlin Classics, the two ensembles will embark on a Central European tour.

Ophelia’s Culture PR supports Concerto Copenhagen in German-speaking and international markets with PR and press work. The focus is on new album releases, opera productions in Copenhagen, and the orchestra’s tours, which, through classic press work and the organisation of press trips, aim to increase the ensemble’s recognition outside of Denmark. In recent years, consulting on branding and strategic decisions for the ensemble has become increasingly prominent.
