Clas­sic­al music in a unique atmo­sphere, with a top-class ensemble, set in one of Europe’s most mag­ni­fi­cent squares – that’s the suc­cess story of Klassik am Odeonsplatz. Since its incep­tion in 2000, the open-air event has attrac­ted around 16,000 music fans and celebrity guests from all over the world each year, estab­lish­ing itself as a firm high­light of Munich’s cul­tur­al life.

On a week­end in July, against the impress­ive back­drop of Munich’s Feld­her­rnhalle, the Bav­ari­an Radio Sym­phony Orches­tra with Chief Con­duct­or Sir Simon Rattle and the Munich Phil­har­mon­ic under Chief Con­duct­or Lahav Shani, togeth­er with inter­na­tion­ally renowned clas­sic­al artists, present an extraordin­ary con­cert exper­i­ence.

The event reg­u­larly records new audi­ence reach fig­ures for (live) broad­casts and has since become a prime­time TV event. The stars who per­form at Klassik am Odeonsplatz include Lang Lang, Sol Gabetta, Anne-Soph­ie Mut­ter, Yuja Wang, Diana Dam­rau, Daniil Tri­fonov, Chris­ti­an Thiele­mann, Yan­nick Néz­et-Séguin, Andrés Orozco-Estrada and Andris Nel­sons.

Since 2012, Opheli­as Cul­ture PR has been respons­ible for the PR and press work for Klassik am Odeonsplatz, play­ing a decis­ive role in estab­lish­ing the event as a major media high­light in the con­scious­ness of a mil­lions-strong audi­ence. Since 2023, we have also man­aged the social media pres­ence for Klassik am Odeonsplatz.
