Bruno de Sá

With his exceptional voice and bold artistic approach, Brazilian soprano Bruno de Sá is setting new standards on international opera stages. He gained international attention with his acclaimed Warner recording Disguised Rome (2022), followed by A thousand affections (2024). He is a regular guest at the Bayreuth Baroque Opera Festival, where he appears in Nicola Antonio Porpora’s Charles the Bald (2020, 2021) and as Cleofide in Leonardo Vinci’s Alessandro in India (2022) was a great success. In 2020, he was named by the trade journal Play! awarded as best new artist.

Bruno de Sás’s impressive vocal range significantly broadens the spectrum of roles suitable for him. „My goal is to sing the most demanding female roles – not just in Baroque, but also in 19th-century repertoire,“ he says. „Opera is an expression of human emotions, and emotions have no gender.“ At the Komische Oper Berlin, the exceptional South American singer will be experienced in a very special role: Don Elviro (Donna Elvira) in the new production Don Giovanni/Requiem with the music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. With this work, Kirill Serebrennikov completes his Mozart-Da Ponte cycle at the theatre.

Ophelia’s Culture PR supports Bruno de Sá with artist PR. This includes classic press work for his engagements and concerts, as well as strategic consulting.
