Bauhaus Archive
Bauhaus and music – a connection that has been rarely made until now. And yet, the first guest event at the Weimar Bauhaus in 1919 was dedicated to music, and numerous musical performances followed. Even when the school first opened its doors to an interested public in an exhibition in 1923, music once again played a prominent role: composers such as Igor Stravinsky, Paul Hindemith, and Ferruccio Busoni were guests in Weimar in 1923 and presented their works at the opening of the exhibition as part of the five-day Bauhaus Week.
Since 2021, the Bauhaus Archive / Museum of Design has been researching the connections between the Bauhaus and music in the interdisciplinary research project bauhaus music.
In 2023, Ophelias Culture PR already supported the kick-off of the „bauhaus music“ festival. In 2025, Ophelias Culture PR will be supporting the Bauhaus Archive with strategic consultancy. In addition, there will be international press work for the musikfest berlin 2025, at which the cubist opera Parabola and Circle was premiered in a concert performance by Marc Blitzstein at the Berlin Philharmonie.
