Ensemble Mod­ern

Ensemble Mod­ern is one of the best-known ensembles for con­tem­por­ary music world­wide. Foun­ded in 1980 and based in Frank­furt am Main, 18 soloists cur­rently shape the activ­it­ies of this demo­crat­ic­ally organ­ised music­al col­lect­ive. Ensemble Modern’s aes­thet­ic spec­trum encom­passes music and dance theatre genres, mul­ti­me­dia forms as well as cham­ber music, ensemble and orches­tral con­certs.

Bauhaus Music

Bauhaus and music – a con­nec­tion that has hardly been explored until now. And yet, the first guest event at the Wei­mar Bauhaus in 1919 was ded­ic­ated to music, and numer­ous music­al per­form­ances fol­lowed.

Con­certo Köln

Pas­sion­ate music­al­ity and an unceas­ing desire to explore the unknown are the hall­marks of Con­certo Köln. The ensemble, with its dis­tinct­ive sound, is one of the lead­ing ensembles in the field of his­tor­ic­al per­form­ance prac­tice. Firmly rooted in Cologne’s music­al life, yet per­form­ing reg­u­larly in the world’s music cap­it­als and at renowned fest­ivals, Con­certo Köln stands for out­stand­ing inter­pret­a­tions of early music.

The Baroque Taste

Il Gusto Barocco, foun­ded by con­duct­or, harp­si­chord­ist and organ­ist Jörg Halu­bek, brings togeth­er a core group of inter­na­tion­ally lead­ing vir­tu­osos of the young­er gen­er­a­tion. In close con­nec­tion between research and prac­tice, the ensemble con­stantly redis­cov­ers old mas­ter­pieces and has made a name for itself through world premi­eres and the redis­cov­ery of for­got­ten Baroque oper­as. It can be exper­i­enced in its homet­own at the self-organ­ised „Stut­tgarter Reihe“.

Inter­na­tion­al Han­del Fest­iv­al Göt­tin­gen

Since their found­ing in 1920, the Göt­tin­gen Han­del Fest­iv­al have sig­ni­fic­antly con­trib­uted to the Han­del renais­sance of the 20th cen­tury. This makes them one of the world’s old­est fest­ivals for early music. At the heart of the pro­gramme are the annu­al opera pro­duc­tions, dur­ing which many of Handel’s best-known works received their mod­ern world premiere.

Jörg Halu­bek

Jörg Halu­bek has long made a name for him­self as a con­duct­or, organ­ist, and maes­tro al cem­balo. With his ensemble, foun­ded in 2008, The Baroque Taste The Early Music spe­cial­ist is a reg­u­lar guest at renowned fest­ivals in Ger­man-speak­ing coun­tries and organ­ises the „Stut­tgart Series“.

The Palad­ins

On 30 Janu­ary 2024, Zar­zuela was recog­nised by the Span­ish gov­ern­ment as a „rep­res­ent­at­ive art form of intan­gible cul­tur­al her­it­age“, with the aim of achiev­ing its inclu­sion in UNESCO’s list of the Intan­gible Cul­tur­al Her­it­age of Human­ity.

Michael Schöch

Michael Schöch moves with the same vir­tu­os­ity on piano and organ. He is a mul­tiple prize-win­ner of import­ant com­pet­i­tions and has received schol­ar­ships from, among oth­ers, the DAAD and the Richard Wag­n­er Schol­ar­ship Found­a­tion. Engage­ments have taken him to renowned con­cert halls such as the Ber­liner Phil­har­monie, the Wien­er Konzer­thaus, the Gewand­haus Leipzig, and the Sem­perop­er Dresden, among oth­ers.

Okto­ber­fest

The Ohefest is the music fest­iv­al of the young bari­tone Jonas Müller – named after a small trib­u­tary of the Danube in Lower Bav­aria. The aim is to make clas­sic­al music access­ible in a fresh way to a broad audi­ence, includ­ing young people.

Roy­al Bal­let and Opera

The Roy­al Opera House, Cov­ent Garden, is one of the world’s fore­most opera houses. Under its new name, Roy­al Bal­let and Opera (RBO), out­stand­ing pro­duc­tions from the Roy­al Opera and the Roy­al Bal­let are broad­cast to over 1,500 cinemas world­wide each sea­son.
