La Cetra Basel

La Cetra Basel is one of the most dis­tin­guished Early Music ensembles in Switzer­land and one of the most import­ant in Europe. Foun­ded in 1999 in the envir­on­ment of the Schola Can­tor­um Basi­li­en­sis, the ensemble has been pas­sion­ately pur­su­ing ori­gin­al sound for over 25 years. Under the dir­ec­tion of the cel­eb­rated Itali­an Early Music expert Andrea Mar­con, La Cetra Basel unites the Baroque orches­tra and, since 2012, also the vocal ensemble.

Con­certo Copen­ha­gen

For over thirty years, Con­certo Copen­ha­gen (CoCo) has embarked on a music­al jour­ney of dis­cov­ery. Rooted in the early music scene, the Copen­ha­gen-based orches­tra con­tinu­ously expands its rep­er­toire. Described as an „Ensemble for time­less music,“ it has long been not only a mas­ter of Baroque music but is equally at home in Vien­nese Clas­si­cism, Roman­ti­cism, and con­tem­por­ary music.

Bayreuth Baroque Opera Fest­iv­al

When the Richard Wag­n­er Fest­iv­al on the Green Hill quiets down again, Baroque music lov­ers from all over the world gath­er at the UNESCO World Her­it­age Mar­gravi­al Opera House in Bayreuth. Since 2020, the Bayreuth Baroque Opera Fest­iv­al has been held there every year in Septem­ber.

Bru Zane Palace

The Palazz­etto Bru Zane – Centre de musique romantique française explores the music of the French Romantic peri­od. Since its found­ing in 2009, it has sig­ni­fic­antly expan­ded the rep­er­toire of this event­ful 19th-cen­tury era. Opheli­as Cul­ture PR has been hand­ling the Palazz­etto Bru Zane Found­a­tion in Ger­man-speak­ing coun­tries since 2012.

Ensemble Mod­ern

Ensemble Mod­ern is one of the best-known ensembles for con­tem­por­ary music world­wide. Foun­ded in 1980 and based in Frank­furt am Main, 18 soloists cur­rently shape the activ­it­ies of this demo­crat­ic­ally organ­ised music­al col­lect­ive. Ensemble Modern’s aes­thet­ic spec­trum encom­passes music and dance theatre genres, mul­ti­me­dia forms as well as cham­ber music, ensemble and orches­tral con­certs.

Basel Sin­foni­etta

The Basel Sin­foni­etta is an orches­tra with a sym­phon­ic lineup spe­cial­ising in con­tem­por­ary music. In its six sub­scrip­tion con­certs, the Basel Sin­foni­etta presents innov­at­ive pro­grammes for Basel and the region. Since 2022, we at Opheli­as Cul­ture PR have been respons­ible for all pub­lic rela­tions and rep­res­ent­a­tion of the Basel Sin­foni­etta. The aims of our work are com­mu­nic­a­tion with the loc­al audi­ence and increas­ing pub­lic per­cep­tion – includ­ing inter­na­tion­ally.

Basel Com­pos­i­tion Com­pet­i­tion

The Basel Com­pos­i­tion Com­pet­i­tion (BCC) is an inter­na­tion­al com­pos­i­tion com­pet­i­tion that takes place every two years in col­lab­or­a­tion with the Paul Sach­er Found­a­tion in Basel, award­ing works for cham­ber and sym­phony orches­tras. The fifth edi­tion took place from 30 Janu­ary to 2 Feb­ru­ary 2025, under the dir­ec­tion of jury pres­id­ent Michael Jar­rell, as in pre­vi­ous years.

Bauhaus Music

Bauhaus and music – a con­nec­tion that has hardly been explored until now. And yet, the first guest event at the Wei­mar Bauhaus in 1919 was ded­ic­ated to music, and numer­ous music­al per­form­ances fol­lowed.

Bruno de Sá

With his excep­tion­al voice and bold artist­ic approach, Brazili­an sop­rano Bruno de Sá is set­ting new stand­ards on inter­na­tion­al opera stages. He gained inter­na­tion­al atten­tion with his acclaimed Warner record­ing Dis­guised Rome (2022), fol­lowed by A thou­sand affec­tions (2024).

Haydneum

Foun­ded in 2021, the Haydneum Found­a­tion aims to make pre­vi­ously unknown music from Hun­gary access­ible to a wider audi­ence through research, sheet music pub­lic­a­tions, con­certs, and per­form­ances. The foundation’s focus is on redis­cov­er­ing, pub­lish­ing, and dis­sem­in­at­ing rep­er­toire from the Baroque, Vien­nese Clas­si­cism, and early Romantic peri­ods, thus from the peri­od approx­im­ately between 1630 and 1820.
