The King's Singers
The King's Singers celebrate their 50th anniversary in 2018: with a young line-up, the ensemble embarks on a world tour and already at the end of 2017 they released their triple-disc album “Gold”.
Their original vocal formation consisted of two countertenors, a tenor, two baritones and a bass and the King's Singers have not wavered from this formation since. They captivate audiences on all the world's great stages with an extensive repertoire ranging from renaissance to pop music. Over the decades, the ensemble, whose concerts have reached a certain cult status, has commissioned numerous works by composers including Luciano Berio, Sir John Tavener and György Ligeti. Two Grammy Awards, an Emmy Award and a place in Gramophone magazine's inaugural Hall of Fame are just some of the more important accolades bestowed upon The King's Singers.
