The young Italian conductor, Giacomo Sagripanti, is considered an insider's tip yet has been conquering the world's major opera houses for several years now. Giacomo Sagripanti has been considered one of the most promising conductors of his generation not least since he was honoured with the award for best young conductor at the International Opera Awards 2016.
In January 2020 he will conduct Anna Netrebko in her role debut as Turandot at the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich. Following this initial collaboration with Netrebko, they will reconnect in April for Francesco Cilea's “Adriana Lecouvreur” at the Opéra National de Paris. Additional season highlights include his debut at the Royal Opera House in London in June 2020 (“Lucia di Lammermoor”) as well as the opening of the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro.
