Martin Helmchen
In 2006, young Berlin-born pianist Martin Helmchen got off to an amazing start, he won two of the most important classical music awards in one go - Crédit Suisse Young Artist Award and ECHO Klassik 2006. By exclusive contract he is now bound to the renowned Dutch record label PentaTone. On his first solo CD, published 28. Sept. 2007, he recorded two Mozart concertos, KV 415 und 491. Despite his youth, Martin Helmchen has already established himself as a valued partner for international orchestras and equally renowned chamber music partners. Newspapers cherish his “exceptional emotional depth in play” and “purity of expression”.
