Anima Eterna Brugge / Jos van Immerseel
Anima Eterna Brugge – founded by the pianist and conductor Jos van Immerseel in Flanders, one of the birthplaces of historical performance practice, in 1987. Under his leadership Anima Eterna Brugge quickly established itself as one of the most important orchestras of its kind in Middle-Europe. In concert halls around the world and on highly praised CD recordings they make their listeners abandon the template of more than a hundred years of performance tradition. For their recording of Berlioz’ “Symphonie fantastique” they were awarded the Echo Klassik 2010.
