Marie-Claude Chappuis
With its uncompromising orientation towards the Lied, The Swiss Festival du Lied in Fribourg takes a pioneer position on the European classical music scene. Under the motto „Les Chants de la Terre“ – „Die Lieder von der Erde“ (Songs of the Earth) it will celebrate its 10th anniversary from 3rd to 13th July 2011. World renowned Lied-Singers like Anna Caterina Antonacci, Sandrine Piau, Julia Kleiter, Sunhae Im, Eric Cutler, Detlef Roth and the festival founder Marie-Claude Chappuis will pay exciting, chamber musical flying visits around the globe together with the Freiburg Chamber Orchestra and the French producer François Dupeyron. OPHELIAS Culture PR is in charge of the jubilee of the Festival du Lied on behalf of the mezzo-soprano Marie-Claude Chappuis.
